Syrian army continues operation in “Greater Idlib”

The Syrian army, led by the Tiger assault unit, continued its offensive against the militants of the Al-Nusra organization in Russia and its moderate opposition groups in the north of Hama province and the south of Idlib province. This is reported by our war correspondents from the north of Hama.

As reported at the moment, they managed to knock out militants from the village of Kesabiya and the surrounding heights north of the city of Kafr Nabuda, in the province of Idlib.

The reason for the continuation of the operation was the shelling of the city of Kamkhana, which claimed the lives of civilians and were carried out from the area taken today by Kesabii.

The last such stage was marked by the repeated capture of the city of Kafr Nabuda in the province of Hama and ended with a truce on the following day, May 28, 2019. These truces, however, are one-sided and are not respected by the militants.

Recall that a few days earlier, representatives of the Russian Center for reconciliation of the warring parties in the Syrian Arab Republic and the Syrian command announced a new “humanitarian” truce and opened a corridor on the stretch between the city Morek and Suran on the highway M-5 “Dara – Damascus – Aleppo” for civilians exit from the war zone in the provinces of Hama and Idlib.
