Yemen drones target Saudi airport for 2nd time in a week

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Air Force of the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees on the early hours of Friday morning carried out several attacks with Qasef-2K drones on Saudi Arabia’s Abha airport two days after it was hit by a cruise missile.

An Air Force source confirmed halting the air traffic at Abha airport after being targeted.

On June 12, the Rocketry Force targeted Abha airport with a cruise missile that hit its target accurately.

Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e said US-built surface-to-air missile systems stationed at Abha airport could not intercept the cruise missile.

He noted that the missile hit the control tower in the airport, causing significant disruption to air travel.

Brigadier Sare’e pointed out that the missile attack on Abha airport was part of the legitimate response to the aggression’s crimes and its unjust siege on the Yemeni people.
