The SAA Offensive in Northern Hama | Colonel Cassad

The first day of the operation was successful – two villages and a significant height of Tel Mallah were conquered, which the Syrians lost during the May-June counterattack of Al-Nusra in the direction of Kernaz and Hamamiat. After a long “truce” caused by the pressure of Turkey, the SAA today resumed the offensive in North Hama.

The first day of the operation was successful – two villages and a significant height of Tel Mallah were conquered, which the Syrians lost during the May-June counterattack of Al-Nusra in the direction of Kernaz and Hamamiat. Previous attempts to return Tel Mallah ended unsuccessfully, but today everything went smoothly.

Undoubtedly, a significant contribution to the advancement of the Syrians was made by the Russian Aerospace Forces, intensively processing both the first line of defense of the militants and communications, ammunition depots and the accumulations of infantry and equipment.

Now, the main question is whether further attempts to develop success are associated with pressure on the western part of the El-Lataminskiy protrusion. On the other hand, it cannot be excluded that the militants will try to gather their strength and counterattack.

In addition, it is worth noting that the Syrians once again shelled the area where the Turkish observation post is located. No casualties were reported, but Turks will most likely curse again.
